A traditional higher alcohol dark German lager. Brew to just 15 litres for a typical traditional 6% alc/vol beer. Lots of roasted malt flavours. Traditionally brewed at cooler temps (10 - 15 deg C) using true lager yeast (SAF S23 or W34/70) for a true Bock flavour. Higher temps and volumes will give more of an ale character which is still perfectly acceptable as a black beer - just not quite the same as a bock style. This could be done using a SAF US-05 yeast.
